Feldspar & Flint LLC is a NYC metro area Recruiting & Staffing firm that specializes in operational strategy across core business functions.

Our client is seeking a senior IT leader to oversee enterprise IT operations and application support in a highly available, regulated environment. This role is accountable for operational reliability, service management maturity, and application stability across a large, always-on technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Lead enterprise IT Operations and Application Support teams supporting 24/7, mission-critical environments.
Own operational reliability, availability, and performance across a large portfolio of enterprise and business applications.
Serve as the senior escalation point for major incidents, ensuring effective resolution and executive communication.
Oversee IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, including incident, problem, change, and request management.
Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Manage strategic vendor relationships, including selection, performance management, renewals, and cost optimization.
Lead contract review, negotiation support, and vendor compliance in close partnership with internal legal, compliance, and procurement teams.
Ensure operational adherence to regulatory, security, audit, and internal control requirements.
Direct disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational risk management initiatives.
Develop and mentor management teams, building succession plans and a culture of operational excellence.
Partner with executive leadership and business stakeholders to align IT operations with organizational strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years leading enterprise IT operations or application support teams.
Proven experience managing large, multi-team organizations in regulated, high-availability environments.
Strong background in IT service management, operational governance, and incident response.
Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party performance.
Experience working closely with internal legal, compliance, audit, and security teams.
Ability to manage budgets, forecast capacity, and drive cost-effective operational outcomes.
Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business impact.
Preferred: experience in gaming, hospitality, retail, or similarly regulated industries; ITIL or ITSM certification; enterprise-scale application environments.
